How to maintain fur
1
Strictly prevent fur from getting damp or exposed to heat: The enemy of fur is strong sunlight and humid air. If fur is not used for a long time (such as in summer), it should be stored in a dark and low-temperature environment as much as possible, avoiding high temperatures, direct sunlight, and hot and humid environments.
Proper temperature and humidity should be considered when storing fur. A temperature of around 24 degrees Celsius and humidity between 45% and 55% are most suitable. If this environment cannot be maintained, it is still advisable to hand over these valuable clothes to a specialized care center for proper storage.
2
Place in a ventilated area: When storing fur clothes, keep the air clear and it is best not to use airtight bags. If necessary, use a large cloth bag to cover the fur and separate the dust.
3
Keep away from chemicals: When wearing fur clothing, try not to sprinkle perfume or hair gel on the fur, because these substances contain alcohol, which will dry the fur.
4
There are rules for hanging fur clothes: fur should be hung on a stable and sturdy wide rack, and steel wire hangers should not be used to avoid damaging or deforming the fur.
To prevent moisture, you can use a non starchy cloth pocket to cover it and maintain a moderate space with adjacent clothing. Do not seal it with a plastic pocket, as this texture will prevent air circulation and fur breathing.
5
Preventing corrosion: Fur clothing is made entirely from the fur of domestic rabbits, otters, foxes, sheep, and minks, which are rich in protein and susceptible to insect infestation and corrosion. Therefore, great attention should be paid to mold and insect infestation. If conditions permit, it is recommended to store it refrigerated in summer.
6
Do not blindly modify styles on your own: Some people like to sew and repair by themselves, nail and sew some accessories on fur, which makes it easy to hook through fur clothing.
Avoid carrying certain leather bags to prevent the backpack straps from rubbing against the fur and damaging the fur hooks.
7
When cleaning, be careful and cautious. Generally, chemical substances are used in the production process of fur clothing. When it comes into contact with liquids such as water, chemical reactions can occur, causing the leather board to deform, harden, or the hair to fade or change color. Therefore, ordinary methods cannot be used to clean fur. It should be sent to a professional dry cleaning shop for cleaning, so as to maintain the smooth, beautiful, and long-lasting appearance of fur clothing.
8
What to do if fur gets wet: If fur clothing gets wet accidentally, such as from tea, drinks, rain, frost, snow, etc., shake off the water droplets on the hair needles and hang the fur in a cool place to air dry naturally. Do not heat, bake or expose it to sunlight, such as placing it next to a heater.
